Ruwach calls two brothers and their middle school friends, Brianna and Levi, into the magical land of Ahoratos. There, equipped with armor and called princes and a princess they embark on adventures to prove themselves and to free the captives. For The great Prince Poneros has rebelled and desiring the throne of the Source, he convinced others to join in his rebellion with promises of more freedom and power. Although Poneros lost the war, and the Source banished him to Skotos on the other side of the chasm, Poneros and his Forgers still wage war, seeking to deceive and corrupt the people of Ahoratos until the time of the Return. Ruwach assures the children they will have everything they need, but things are not as they appear.

Priscilla Shirer, noted author, speaker and actress (The War Room) has cooked up a great Christian fantasy allegory with The Prince Warriors. Aimed at the tween and early teen readers, this tale will captivate kids with the fantastical setting and realistic and current relational issues. The omniscient point of view was effective in presenting a number of characters simultaneously, but the narrator’s voice could have been stronger. Still the action, adventure and angst were compelling. Book 2 is already out.
