God knows the deep places of woman; He created us. But He still invites us to enter in and freely share them with Him. What is the best way to nurture our soul?<\/p>\n

When we open the raw, He presses mercy into the pain; the failure; the shame. God doesn\u2019t want us to stay there. He wants to heal us and free us so we can live for Him. He created women with longing and desire, but often these are wasted on the wrong things; in the wrong places.<\/p>\n

A Woman’s Deep Desire<\/h2>\n

After the fall, God said woman\u2019s desire would be for her husband (Genesis 3:16<\/a>), and while that might be true to an extent, having the redemption of Jesus has changed that.<\/p>\n

I remember while I was dating my [now] husband and even in the early years of our marriage, I depended on Him for everything.<\/em> Even things he just wasn\u2019t capable of providing; that deep desire for constant<\/em> connection.<\/p>\n

I would get upset if he wasn\u2019t with me as often as possible. He couldn\u2019t fill the deep places because they weren\u2019t his to fill. <\/em>He simply wasn\u2019t capable of such a constant<\/strong> need in my life. That desire was only something God could fill.<\/p>\n

Likewise, other things<\/em> cannot replace the deep desire for God that we have. Our soul longs for the nurture of our Maker and nothing else will satisfy. Nothing can penetrate that deep place the way the Father can.<\/p>\n

Sometimes we<\/strong><\/em> don\u2019t even know what it is we need.<\/p>\n

What Does Your Soul Long For and How Can You Find It?<\/h2>\n

When I feel conflicted, I write. In my journal, I write in the raw and it\u2019s there that I dig deep enough to find what it is my soul longs for, and I always find myself in the same place:<\/p>\n

Jesus.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The paths may look different, the needs may vary, but the answer is always the same.<\/p>\n

How do you lose yourself in God? How do you let God nurture your soul?
\n<\/em><\/p>\n

You chase hard after God. Hard. You hold nothing back.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

This may not happen all at once. Sometimes it’s a process to lay it all before Him and to trust Him with your deepest needs.<\/p>\n

Your life will permeate Him and your face will shine His light. People won\u2019t understand the decisions you are making because they are based on the things of God; on the eternal, and not on the ways of man or the things of this world.<\/p>\n

Lose yourself in God. Go to the deep places where desire is only fulfilled by meeting with Him. It is there that you will find yourself<\/em>. Maybe that sounds cliche\u2019. It\u2019s only cliche\u2019 if we speak<\/em> truth without living<\/em> truth.<\/p>\n

I encourage you, today<\/em><\/strong>, make time to go to that place with God. Nurture your soul by chasing hard after Him and giving Him time and space to fill your heart in ways only He can.<\/p>\n
